For those of you who are not familiar with my current 'situation', I am approaching my final round of TCHP chemo for stage 3 HER2+ breast cancer. I wanted to write about the chemotherapy experience as someone going through it - but with a sense of humour.
Because crime fiction is my 'thing', it had to include a mystery. The result is a short story about a woman going through exactly what I am going through when her adult daughter disappears. In spite of her health problems, she embraces the role of an amateur sleuth with gusto - up against the clock before her next treatment session.
I deliberately ensured this read is light-hearted, while containing facts about what it is like to go through chemo. It's actually not as bad as you may think.
